Honeydukes, the legendary sweets shop in the Harry Potter universe! A must-stop for Potterheads who have been dreaming to get a taste of JK Rowling’s creations. Thanks to her prodigious imagination, we have Exploding Bonbons, Pixie Puffs, Fizzing Whizzbees, Pumpkin Pasties, Jelly Slugs  – just to name a few – available in the Muggle world. 🙂

As soon as you enter Honeydukes, you will be greeted by the shop’s bright and colorful interiors. The place seemed like it would never run out of sweets. There were so many to choose from to the point it was nearly impossible for me to decide which one to bring home. Universal Studios was able to recreate Honeydukes so well just enough to make me feel like I was really a part of the wizarding world. The sweets shop is a bit small though so it easily gets crowded and chaotic inside, but don’t let that stop you and pick up some iconic souvenirs on your way out.

Get the Chocolate Frogs. They taste amazing even though they are just plain milk chocolate! I only bought one for the novelty and nostalgia of it, but I wish I had bought more. They are packaged in a pentagon-shaped box that comes with collectible holographic cards of famous wizards. Each costs 1,200 Yen.

The infamous Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans makes it on the list as well. Apparently, they are branded as the “gourmet” jelly beans since the flavors range from delicious to odd and disgusting ones like marshmallow, soap, grass, and earwax. How do they even come up with these flavors? They are so fun and imaginative! Each box costs 1,800 Yen. A little bit more expensive than the Chocolate Frogs, but worth trying for the experience.

Don’t miss out on the Cauldron Cakes. They are super moist! You’ll find them in the pastry section (yes, there’s one inside!) along with other baked goods like Hagrid’s famous Rock Cakes and Pretzel Wands.

If you would like to see more of the merchandise that Honeydukes offers like Fudge Flies, Peppermint Toads and more), here’s a good read: Ultimate Shopping Guide to WWoHP. Merchandise from other shops inside the park is included as well.

It is no other than Zonko’s Joke Shop! It’s directly connected to Honeydukes and you will see it on the left as you enter the store.

Zonko’s Joke Shop was the go-to place for Hogwarts students looking to cause mischief at school. They sell plenty of novelty items, magic potions, and wizarding gadgets. Unfortunately, it closed down during the second rising of Voldemort. The Weasley twins saw this as an opportunity and used the money that Harry Potter won the Triwizard Tournament to take over the shop.

The shop remains open in the Universal Studios Japan version of the Wizarding World and has yet to be replaced and renamed to Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes.
